I don’t regret playing MMOs in a general sense - I met good people, learned a lot, spent less time in bars, and other common nerd rationalizations. But there’s a point where I realize that I put so much time into certain goals that it exceeded what a lot of people invest into graduate or professional degrees. And I also lost my temper like a hypercompetitive baby towards a lot of people that didn’t deserve it. Those things I regret. This thread is about how much you do, or do not, regret various aspects of EQ and online gaming. It can also be about other non-video game related regrets. I don’t want to hear about how you have no regrets, and all your mistakes were a learning experience that helped you become the man you are today. Nobody actually thinks that, and most of us are too stupid to have done anything right in our lives.
