Yeah, the last dude (Brian whatshisname) was running the show when I was there and it seemed pretty damn chaotic/rudderless to me already. I don't know if the company can be saved - I mean I'm sure there is a way but it's going to take not just a techy guy but someone pretty visionary + great at really turning around a company culture and doing that with a company w/over 100k employees is daunting to say the least.
This guy jumping ship from VMWare.... not sure if he's the type of dude to turn things around. I think he's done okay w/vmware, but that is another company that is facing massive threat due to its core product being left in the dust by not just competitors but more modern technologies.
i missed the story, how why is gamestop going up? that company is fucking toast, literally a zombie company
There’s only one story, Utumno, told over and over. As Allanun said: Wait a minute, that’s wrong Wait, still wrong. There we go.
Basically a bunch of wsb autists are pumping and dumping the stock. The rona also helped because tons of people spent cash on entertainment while in lockdown.
The boomers at cnbc dont understand how a bunch of internet goblins can just make wild trades and swing the market. Jimbo Crames doesn't get it either but it's the future and he is hopping aboard.
i have had my money in index funds the last two months while i make extra payments on my mortgage like a chump
