Before I jump to any conclusions, I’d like to hear Kid Rock and Kanye West’s take on the Mueller Report.
I was hoping to hear Samuel L Jackson talk. Sadly.... i have my doubts unless Mr. Jackson tells me Trump committed crimes. =\
Waiting eagerly to hear A$AP Rocky's view.
Now send this to every voter in teh midal or on the right and see how they respond to liberal celebrities telling them what's what.
I expect it will sway somewhere in between 0% and 0.01% of them. For the rest, it will just reinforce how much they hate the left.
I completely agree w/this....
caveat: with THE APPRENTICE GUY getting voted in as the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED FUCKING STATES and some 30-ish percent of the country thinking he's doing a GREAT JOB, I honestly do not understand what does or does not resonate with US Citizens anymore as they are clearly fucking idiots...
so who knows, maybe Robert DiNero's thoughts on the Mueller report is going to sway minds.
DeNiro went on record saying he'd like to punch Trump in the face, so he's probably not the right guy to tap to outreach to anyone who doesn't already agree with him.
But he is probably the right guy to punch him in the face. I'd be okay w/that.
Maybe the Special Olympics can add boxing next year.
Video isn't for the right, you're never going to change their minds even with all the facts, reason, logic in the fucking world they're hard set on their fanatical beliefs. It's aimed for the lowest common denominator on both the left (so they won't be discourage) and for the swing voter. I think the video is brilliant for that reason.
Meaningless, most people assume all the candidates dem or republican will do what they can to dig up dirt on their opponents. Its cynical but then again, maybe the people want to know all the dirt.
Yeah, no one is under the assumption we are trying to save centrists or right wing, this is for people who just don't know.
Meaningless? You're hilariously underestimating the political weight of celebrity status, they carry a lot of power and influence, although ideally they shouldn't and most of us in TzT already know their opinions mean jack because they're not political scholars, but I'm just being practical in that they should use that influence for the greater good. Media outlets like Fox News are aware of that power and that it can persuade people's attitude, beliefs, behaviors etc — why do think right-wing politicians and conservative media lost their shit when celebrities like Kaepernick was kneeling? Heck, Oprah's endorsement was arguably the reason why Obama became president.
I think you're overstating that. The stereotype on Hollywood celebrities is that they're annoyingly self-aggrandizing and out of touch with reality (since they live in a bubble of wealth and narcissism).
Which is probably a lot closer to the truth than them posturing as an authority on politics. That's the part of this I'm not so keen on. The left already has enough problems with "the biased liberal media" and failing to connect with the working class.
Don't get me wrong because I agree with everything in the video. I'm just skeptical it's going to help anything.
We have a reality TV star in the white house who lives in a bubble of wealth and narcissism. Why do you think I was able to predict the outcome of the general 2016 elections? Even though Russians did interfere with the election, Trump didn't need them to win it. Hillary was already despised and Trump's celebrity status was going to carry his fatass to the white house.
Most people get their information from celebrities in the US, let's be real.
We do have Hollywood celebrities to thank for kickstarting the anti-vaccination movement.
And yes, Trump used his celebrity status effectively. He's a prime example of why it's more ideal for them to stay in their lane and stick to endorsements.
No, Russia was behind the anti vaccination, that's been proven and you're splitting hairs about something liberal which I also think is a waste of time on their part.
Whatever the origin, celebrities played a huge part in popularizing it.
including our pal DeNiro
I just wonder how much it really helps having the anti-vaccine actor guy doing a pseudo-educational PSA about the Mueller report.
