Red and my Xmas strangely similar. Rolled my ankle that morning and worked with a swollen tangerine in my boot all day. Haven't gotten an X-ray but I think it's getting better, gonna claim victory on my never-broken-a-bone, too. I did, however, get a Droste Dutch chocolate letter and a pair of socks.

Got a pair of these I'm wearing right now, got the black ones too.

Got $275 in Amazon money. Spent about $100 so far on random shit, teeth whitener, some skin care stuff especially for my eczema (fuck my back and shoulders are all rashed out right now and it's gross as fuck).

Also got $75 in Red Robin gift certificates. Took my wife and daughter out to lunch a few days ago. Also got $100 in Starbucks gift cards, so my card is loaded now for awhile.

Got a Yoda lamp from my daughter which is pretty cool, and some bluetooth headphones I haven't tried out yet, they're a little cheaper and probably don't sound as good as my Bose but hopefully they don't cut out like my Bose do. They're Havit G1s.

Worked at an eye institute for (almost) a year helping w/ some stuff for lasik + cataract surgeries. Terrified of lasik and would not get. Saw so, so, so many people who came in 8-15 years after their initial surgery who were looking to get a follow up procedure (because their vision tanked) and were denied. Saw so many racist 50-65 yr old white hillbilly men cry when they were denied. Always felt terrible.

Would recommend cataract surgery tho as a relatively quick (5~ minute) and painless (albeit very frightening) procedure.

My friend’s mom got botched lasik and was practically blind for almost a year before she could have it reversed/repaired or whatever

Contacts are slightly annoying granted, but fuck that noise

On the bright side, if Octavionn goes blind I don't think it will change his cryptocurrency forecasting.

It’s been several years and the eye was never really my thing, but I think it has to do with the shape and thickness of the cornea. Lasik reshapes the cornea (how it works) so it’s easy to imagine you can’t do it an infinite amount of times.

I'm not worried. My friend sought out an Asian doctor. She's quite pretty. VERY easy on the eyes. haha. And I liked her personality.

    ooof, sexy.
what are you listening to them through? Was looking at tubed preamp/amp/DAC setups, for the sake of a nice desktop setup they're not terrible you can get some good stuff for under a grand. Been debating, I almost never listen through headphones but for a good speaker set up I may do it.

Sorry for ignoring your previous post. I've taken the last few weeks off work to care for my mother (who has been quite ill) which has pretty difficult and I just didn't really feel like responding earlier.

Not 2 sound 2 dumb but what are you interested in exactly? My hip hop ranges from v nerdy to v emo to v gangster to just technically good rap.

This is a pretty recent release and I got an email today saying my vinyl shipment was delayed for the third time. The production on this song is done by Alias, who is considered the 'father of goth/emo rap' and passed away unexpectedly this year:

Lately I've been in a pretty bad mood so I've been really enjoying some old sole bc hes always angry. This song best sums up my mood lately. He rarely writes anything that is a technically great rap, although I think this track/production is really beautiful:

You may like this song from the coup. The rapper is boots riley, who recently wrote/released the film, 'Sorry to Bother You.' which I thought was p good and would recommend. The coup had the misfortune of having a mid September 2001 release date for their best album, which depicted them blowing up the twin towers as an album cover.:

If you want a solid album to listen to, 'No More Heroes' by solillaquists of sound is a good choice. They mix good production good raps and lots of black empowerment/uplifting shit/social commentary/etc stuff. They keep everything pretty standard in terms of underground rap. If you want something weirder checkout Dark Time Sunshine. Zavala always makes killer soundscapes and Onry Ozzborn writes some really clever/weird rhymes. They are very unique. I know I've posted a lot of their stuff before:

If you want something 'classical' + fast and lyrically good phi-life cypher is always great:
myka 9 is probably the best rapper ever. same scene as ngafsh who i posted about before. he coined the term 'free style' and ghost wrote some nwa tracks back in the day. You can buy a feature from him for your album for like $500 or something. a few months ago he was looking for a roommate

or maybe you just want something dope

one evening i spent a few hours with intuition @ a bar and at the end he very seriously asked me if i was a genius.

also my sister took a dumb 23&me test. Said she* was 49 point something % iranian, 17% french (a lil surprising) and most the rest bavarian/czech/austrian/NE italian/ and other germanic peoples (with an additional less than 5% total that was english, scandinavian, and NE asian or native american)

I like the first two, TLR / MR insurgent, way different sound, that's driving or smoking alone music for me

The coup is good, and everything from dark time sunshine after was awesome

We're basically family, almost the same ethnic groups, except I have more norman (germanic/gaulic), have the czech/french on the euro side

The normans weren't germanic or gaulic they were scandinavian that's why the (post-)gauls called them nor(th)man
