I'm trying to get a game that I downloaded to work. The filetype is .nrg which, I discovered, is a CD image file that I need to burn to a CD in order to make it work. Problem is, the filesize is 756mb, and no CD i could find will fit more than 702MB.

If I use an ISO recovery tool, the files that make up the .nrg will fit on the CD, but the game won't run this way.

So I went out and bought some DVD-Rs, but evidently, my CD drive won't acknowledge them, or write anything to them.

    Any suggestions?

Get a copy of PowerISO and mount the CD using PowerISO's virtual drive feature.

As an FYI .nrg is the nero image file format. Did you try using nero to burn it?

No, I don't much care for Nero. I used Alcohal 120 since I already had it lurking around on my harddrive anyway.
