lol Durant's first game back, only 19 minutes of play. 5 FGs, 2 3s, 5 FTs - 100% accuracy. And 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

    league may just be fucked

lol Lakers blow out the Nets without LeBron and AD playing

(to be fair, Harden was out, and I still consider him to be the most dangerous part of that team)

that was also the one game I wanted the Nets to win (a Lakers loss would have tied them with Dallas) and they utterly shit the bed, so I hate them even more now

    continuing the homer train

Steph needed 19 points to pass Wilt Chamberlain as all time scorer for the Warriors, so he drops 21 in the 1st quarter. (On 97% True Shooting, 0 turnovers, while doubled the whole time)

Finishes with 53 points against the Nuggets.

Dude is p good at basketball.

I hear Steph Curry is still pretty good at basketball. Is it coincidental that he had that kind of night while Kelly Oubre was out?

I'm guessing ACL after watching that.

What a bummer. I'm only a Denver fan when Dallas gets eliminated, but that still just sucks. They were shaping up to be dark horse favorites in the west with the Gordon addition and Jokic playing out of his mind this season. They'll still be good, but there's no way this isn't a loss for that team. They don't really have anybody in the backcourt who can replace his playmaking and efficiency. I guess they can just lean even more on Jokic.

Yeah, I really wanted to see Nugs make a deep run as well. I want to say terrible luck, but while watching those highlights, I noticed Murray just fell right down before being able to block Steph - it looks to me like his knee was already buckling there. Shouldn't his medical crew have pulled him out immediately after that? Obviously hindsight 20/20, but he just fell with no contact, and was very wobbly to get up.

I didn't see the game but yeah that's a pretty awful look for the medical team if that's the case.

I’m not a huge Jamal Murray fan, but he was having a breakout year.

He was, by both RPM and RAPTOR, becoming a very good defender. These metrics are still flawed, but RPM has him as the #5 defensive point guard. I think they can replace him offensively (here Michael Porter, shoot more). But someone that can play 35 minutes of good D *AND* score is going to be hard to replicate.

They still have a chance though, because Aaron Gordon is so versatile.

He also has been having issues w/his other knee... so you wonder how much better his #s would be if he wasn't a bit injured for stretches this year.

Also the 2nd game in a row where Draymond managed to score over 10 points, which somehow seems more shocking now than Steph dropping 42, lol

10 rebounds and 16 assists too

    impressive 1v5 exhibition from Curry

and yeah this really was a circus shot, good night of NBA basketball for both of us. Memphis losing puts GS within striking distance of them for the 8th seed

celtics have won 4 in a row and 6 out of 7- looking good

also found out a couple days ago that Tatum has needed an inhaler since covid (something he had never needed before), which might explain why he never seems to drive in the 2nd half- might just have been out of breath
