    i dont think i've ever read an OR book and thought "wow this person really knows this subject and conveys it well"

    the problem is less on the knowledge side with OR and more on the A) conveying it side and B) actually saying all of what they know

    it is particularly noticeable in spark books. i often end up googling documentation not because it changed in the most recent version, but because the author was lazy

    Textbooks for code are obsolete

    just stack exchange everything as it comes up

    but a man has to be on the metro 2 days a week

    in those dire times, a man needs a physical book
