now I'm gonna burn a piece of paper and critique accordingly
needs a bit of blue flame i think. and the flames should probably dance more
mostly though the weird slow-shrink of the inner circle at the end is pissing me off. think i fixed it, but broke the paper crinkles in doing so
a man shouldnt have to choose between crinkles & circles, warren. it just ant right
needs some alpha channel variation prolly
also now i think the beginning is too fast. looks better when the charring happens slowly before the burn speeds up
also too much white/blue now. doesn't look great to start the fire with it
there are gonna be limits to how far a shader-based fire can go, but i think there's room to improve..
looks like no blue/white in this one - perhaps paper doesn't burn hot enough?
i used this one as my reference
you can see a line of blue near where the paper is charring, & sort of morphing shades of white in the center of the flame
probably not pure white though, sort of in b/w white and yellow
candles all hopped up on fais's cocaine
the candle flames remind me of fire bad guys in another game
i feel like they kind of look like they're made of cake icing
weird, jittery cake icing
I kinda like it, its obvious what they are supposed to be
it does have a certain sort've cartoon stylized charm
i think the geometry itself should vary more though
messin around w/ fluid sims
makin dat pixel art in blender
the speed is way off but the effect is pretty great
oh actually the speed looks somewhat better here than on the preview, weird
seamless loopy version
changed my life
