does it just crop to the middle to run games that don't support the 400:9 aspect ratio?

 

I sm not sure about the super giant curved monitors but I have a few pals that swear by the smaller ones for total BEARD IMMERSION

 

yea, maybe. I have a 34" ultra wide and it'll just black bar the sides if i set to more normal aspect ratios, likely software controlled and could be a setting somewhere though that sets it to that or just makes it stretch all stupidly. Been a while since using it though, use 2 displays and actually the 34" ultra wide i use for work/extra (perfect for the kind of excel i do) and a 27" 4k more normal 16:9 for games/main monitor.

decided to pop back onto few sites to see where things at, like 3080s are on ebay for 2500 now. jeebus. not feeling so bad paying few bucks over retail for a 3060 to "get by." that's gonna be my card through probably at least 1 more generation.
