How does she do with other demographics?
Yeah, that infographic is the kind of depressing shit I'm talking about.
Right wing media has painted a picture of her being crazy Hillary 2.0 for years now, so that's probably what most people in the states that determine presidential elections think of her
I hope Kamalla Harris does run in the primary
I mean we could pull up polls all day but
Searyx + Ageless - that’s fair. I have no idea how people would respond to four more years of Trump, and certainly can’t say it would be to go more left. We could just as easily see a centrist.
But I’m not scared enough of Trump that I want to see “electibility” take precedence over progress.
At some point I’d like to see Dems make actual moves towards universal health care, education reform, foreign policy reform, and actually deal with the upcoming social security apocalypse. I don’t want to see them go centrist to appeal to 10,000 swing voters in Ohiosylvania while the millions of people that could benefit from you catching up to the rest of the civilized world continue to get fucked.
Voting for Will Smith if he promises to stay in character as the fresh Prince for his entire term
I can’t imagine head-to-head polling being very predictive, but I’ve never seen a study on it.
She's really popular with Cherokees.
They just love it when wealthy white people with 6-10 generations-removed traces of Native American heritage use it as leverage in American politics.
I realize we can write that off as "well she's just defending herself from Trump", but it's still a bad look that will be exploited. And I think that video made it worse. It doesn't make her come across as authentic, unless the goal was to reach out to white people using Ancestry.com to justify claiming to be not-white.
I would rather see a centrist in the presidency than Trump given what damage he's already managed to do in two years. Imagine him getting another supreme court justice seat. We'll already be dealing with the fallout from his bullshit for the rest of all our lives and none of the norms he's violated are ever coming back.
I just don't see it as an either-or. I think going centrist is a mistake because people actually want progressive policy. Not full communism, sure, but free college? Universal healthcare? Campaign finance reform? Progressive tax reform? Bank regulations? Student debt forgiveness? I think Bernie made it clear that you can get people excited for that shit if stay on message and don't get Commie baited. Hillary lost because she provided no picture of the any future for the people hurting in this economy except more of the same. If we get some guy in there trying to sell us what America was 2 years ago I don't think it's gonna fly just like it didn't fly before. *That* would be banking on Trump's weakness over the candidate's strength, in my opinion.
Biden polls well now, but unless his stances have really changed by the time he opens his mouth in this campaign I don't see that lasting against Warren, Harris, Bernie or any of the other actually-progressive candidates.
did anyone else laugh at 0:45
"MY MOTHER WAS BORN IN OKLAHOMA.... IT WAS INDIAN TERRITORY "
while some vaguely native american inspired indie background music pipes in
seriously tho the marketing team probably just copied the first result on youtube
the music of her people
