I recently purchased a Vargur for running Level 4 missions in empire. It makes mission running much faster. Anyone have a good setup?

Right now I am using:
4x 800 AC II
2x Salvager
1x Tractor Beam

1x Large Shield Booster II
1x Shield extender
3x Shield hardener
1x Webifier II

3x PDU II
3x Gyro II

why the hell would you run missions in a vargur? i just can't see how it's any better than perhaps in a golem or if you're not caldari specced, just getting a macrobot.

but then again... without having run the setup through eft...

no XL shield booster? is it a cpu problem?
drones? i assume lights and mediums.
rigs? if it's purely pve, core field extenders are probably what you're looking for.
ACs? i would've thought arties would've been better.
i'd probably lose the webby for another large shield extender. if it's truly only pve... let your drones deal with the fast close stuff.

all in all, get a raven.

Passive shield tank Ishtar FTW.

I have a Billion+ build that can tank 1500 Therm/Kin DPS and put out the hurt with the Drones.

The EM hole kinda makes it limited in over all missioning, but if it can set it's resists right it can do lvl 5's.


I just tried to do a similar setup with a Minmatar ship. Couldn't get anywhere near the tank or the DPS.


Go Gallante. Best PvP/PvE combo race ever.

Anyone been doing the wormhole action?  I have been ganked a few times but the risk vs reward is about right and the loss isnt so bad with platinum insurance on a tech 1 battlecruiser.

You could probably suicide with the T1 battlecruiser in highsec against haulers for more cash than actually grinding NPC. Get a few friends together and have one with a cargo/ship scanner start scanning haulers moving around in highsec. Find one with a good stash of shit worth a deal and suicide it. Friend scoops the loot and you come off 1b+ or more richer depending on your haul.

You talking NPC haulers or player?  Did the NPC thing in the first year but CCP caught on and nerfed that.  If it is player than ya, you need a group too bring it down before Concord gets there and one guy waiting nearby with a hauler to steal the loot.  I am a solo player so it doesnt work for me.
