Well.. ok. maybe I was exaggerating. lol. Obviously there's a lot more to it than one guy... However that 1 guy does have enough to trigger or greatly enhance the market pullbacks when he dumps. In any case, once he's fully offloaded, we'll probably see higher ATH's.

Some guy named David Hay is collecting coins to try to seed some city along the boarders of Venezuela with crypto. Something about Educating people on how it works and seeding them with $4 each, the equivalent of 2 weeks wages in Venezuela. Very interesting.... Apparently the 2 crypto groups that have been donating and trying to get him to choose them is Dash & Nano.

This will be an interesting thing to watch when it happens to see if using cryptos as an actual day to day currency will work. He'll most likely choose nano, but I'm biased towards nano since its the only truly fee-less crypto that would be more appealing to use for people who have almost nothing.

Hah, I kindof love that. I mean I think there is a lot of promise in AI (and god knows everyone in my industry is going on about it all the time) but I can't help the feeling that our current capabilities are drastically overstated.

I guess Substratum will be launching their network in the next couple of weeks. Their price shot up over 30%.

Stop being a weiner. The sooner the machines take over, the sooner the rest of us can get paid for sitting around and playing video games.

It shot up all the way back to 2/3rds of what it was two weeks ago. TO THE MOON. Even if it surpasses that two week high, it's coming back down again a week or two later. At some point, people are going to learn that none of these "events" mean anything whatsoever, and it's going to become basically random.

A lot of the stuff that gets sold as "AI" in realms like finance right now is hard to satirize in terms of how simple and as hoc it is vs how complex some imagine it to be

Obviously I don't know what goes on under the hood of the huge monolithic finance firms so I can't say where the real ceiling is, but if the academic literature is any indication, a lot of it isn't much better than just letting a computer make the same dumb heuristic calculations you'd do on your own but faster because it's a computer

That's not just finance, it's data science in general

In the strictest possible sense--that there's literally nothing a computer can do that enough humans with enough time could not also do--that's certainly true, but "machine learning" is, at least in the public imagination, I think, meant to entail something more complex than just 600000 wet fingers in the wind per microsecond

I mean, will we really be able to tell the difference between people and future supercomputers using hierarchical learning. Now if AI can take proper advantage of the internet and learn to sort information and categorize for itself into new learned data structures and be able to recall and or apply it.

If an AI can measure FUD from the internet and the rising amount of FUD or increased amount of positive shilling for a particular crypto or stock.... that would be some useful info!

ICX and VEN bags are getting a litte lighter (thank god for Allanun). I may be able to offload them and start trading again soon, if I'm lucky.
