Thunder blows a 23 point lead against Kahwiless Spurs, meanwhile Oladipo has turned into pacers point god lol.

Pretty sure Billy Donovan can give Lue some completion for shitty coach of the year. Either that or Chestbrook really is as bad a teammate as Sear makes him out to be. Or both.

Yea I don't get it. I thought Oladipo sucked. It's kind of weird that the ex-OKC players are all having good years so far.

Oladipo was never bad. 538 rated him a third tier superstar last year (similar to Otto Porter and Paul George, if I recall), and he was 6th among shooting guards in RPM. He is actually rated lower in RPM this year. Last year he was the only 3 point shooter on OKC, and helped keep their offence afloat.

Part of the problem may be that Westbrook is "being a good teammate", instead of relentlessly attacking the basket. So his efficiency is garbage.

Nevertheless, they will be fine. They are too good defensively to continue to be sunk by their mediocre offence (they were mediocre last year, too). Shit will come together at some point.

Selectively quoting myself here because I'll take any opportunity to justify my unbridled hatred for Muscle Brickwest.

I think OKC will be okay, but their fans who were predicting this team to contend with Golden State are going to be disappointed. It's not going to happen.

I don't know about Cleveland. They're not coasting right now. Lebron is averaging like 40 MPG + just had to play 47 minutes and shoot 17-26 to beat the fucking Clippers in overtime.

Yeah - this is the first time I've actually seen a decent # of OKC fans starting to question how well Westbrook functions in a team, though most of them seem to be blaming the coach (which is probably well deserved).

Lue is still first tier awful imo. His next master move is probably just to get rid of the other teammates and have LeBron play the entire game solo vs. opponents (score will remain the same lol)

Sixers 47 point 1st quarter against the Dubs so far. GS confirmed bad at basketball.

Embiid and Simmons are legit scary when they're feeling it.

Simmons - nobody that is 6'10" should have handles like that.

Aaaaand, the warriors drop 47 in the 3rd quarter. What a game.

Embiid smashing his own face against the post for no good reason trying to block a Zaza shot helped change the pace. WTF Embiid - I thought he broke his own neck there for a second.

    love it

Dallas took Boston to OT and made Kyrie look much better than he actually is by having Yogi guard him the entire game

    sorry, Kanmuk

I meant to post about that game @Sear - I didn't watch it but I did watch a couple highlight reels. It looked like a crazy game and Kyrie used the power of his Mask of Accuracy to good effect. Harrison Barnes making some big buckets though had some serious chokes towards the end. I thought Big Dirk did pretty goddamn well for being 83 years old.

Some writers saying DSJ didn't do well but he had good +/- and I don't know why they didn't throw him in there when Yogi wasn't doing dick, I bet he would have turned the tide at the end and it wouldn't have even gone into OT. I don't understand what Carslisle was thinking tbh.

Also I like to bag on Kyrie as much as the next guy but poor defense or no, that was some serious balling from the flat-earther himself. Crazy accuracy and some serious circus shots.

That game basically spiked him into being a top 10 player, after hovering around 25-30th most of the year.

(This is why Steph and LeBron are kings of the NBA, btw. They are fucking awesome every single game and tend not to run up the stats unless they have no choice. Not that Boston didn't need Kyrie to own that game single handedly).

On another note, I feel like I have to take GS at -4.5 even in the road.

Basketball gambling begins tonight, I guess.

what does that mean? i am odds-retarded.

does that mean oddsmakers are saying they won't win by more than 4.5 pts?

GS about to get wrecked by OKC. Not too worried though, just looks like ice cold shooting mostly (and a bit of ref-ball but just par for the course stuff)

No. -4.5 means they are favoured to win by 4.5 points. So if they win by 5 or more, you win the bet. Since they in fact lost by 17, I did not win my bet.

+4.5 would mean they are expected to lose by 4.5. So if they lose by 4 or less (or win), then that bet wins.

I know it's only a 3 game sample, but I'm curious to see if this Houston thing actually works. Chris Paul deserves some playoff success.
