The Washington Monument was featured because in the context of Abe being a vampire hunter it resembles an enormous fuck off STAKE.

I'd never heard of this movie until I saw this thread. But then, a lot of Oscar favorites are kind of under the radar when they come out.
Especially pretentious Oscar bait. Why else would Brad Pitt suddenly decide "oh hey I want to be in a low budget POS movie no one will bother seeing". O-S-C-A-R-B-A-I-T
I thought this film was a huge disappointment and a metaphorical failure in my opinion. Even though the visual scenes were phenomenal, it was too artsy - but annoying artsy... like that Family Guy episode where the clown is flipping the pancake in black and white.
There's just a bunch of random scenes of different things (a stair, a spiral, etc.) and I just think that it was a metaphorical bomb, not to mention that the way the Director depicted the family was, in my view, totally unrealistic. Oh and like 85% of the whole movie is people whispering. God that was fucking annoying.
Stupid Oscar bait, like "American Beauty". You paid money to see it?
England should have won for 2018, especially since they will have the facilities and infrastructure from the Olympics to use, and the U.S. should have won for 2022. The last World Cup in America set records for revenue and attendance at a world cup that still haven't been broken, and soccer is 10x more popular now than it was then
I hope we get more Natalie Portman ass a la Closer in this film
Firefly may very well be the best series ever canceled after one season. Though Pushing Daisies makes that a "may very well be..." instead of a "definitely is..."
Some never achieve all five milestones, including those who are single or childless by choice, or unable to marry even if they wanted to because they’re gay.
