I haven't really formed any sort of coherent thoughts on these sides yet. There are a lot of short spreads w/ these even matchups. I'm sure New England will be getting hammered at that number; Minnesota line really speaks to how bad KC is; I sort of like the Falcons to bounce back; this is a statement game for Houston.

Jets-Ravens game was the hardest for me to pick because I think it could either way. I think Ravens win because its a home game.

Surprised they would give Cowboys the edge. I'd call the game dead even. On one hand, Romo may not survive the beating Suh can dish out, and the when Stafford throws Calvin Johnson a good ball, no can defense. On the other hand, it's tough to go 4-0 and I'm not sure the Lions can do it. If they come out flat and Dallas can figure out a way to contain Calvin Johnson (maybe Mike Jenkins can run around on stilts) it could be a close game.

I just want Romo to come out alive though. I watched Suh almost destroy the best team in College football when Nebraska played the Longhorns. He's a one man wrecking crew.

Jets vs Ravens should be interesting. It looks like the Jets D has some holes in it. We'll see if they get it turned around. (I hope they do -- I have their defense.)

lol @ indy having 2 primetime games in back to back weeks.
And I think they have like 2 more scheduled before any shot at manning coming back/flex schedule for sundays goes into place. I don't know, I guess one of these days they're due for handing out a good upset but good god what an awfull monday night game to watch.

Totally agree. I would think at this point Detroit would be overvalued by bettors, regardless of whether Vegas expects them to win.

Also agree with Nreekay about NYG@ARI being a trap. I'm picking Arizona straight up. Also picking Oakland, but that might be folly.

And yes, it looks like a great opportunity for the Texans to get a little separation. The rest of the division is playing games they have a good chance of losing, so I really hope we will beat the Steelers.

correct me if im wrong xant.. but the home team basically gets the -3 for being at home.. so for the cowboys to be a -1 they think detroit is 2 points better then dallas but the -3 over rides it..

interested in seeing a couple games
oakland rushed for 200+ yards on the jets, now they play NE's def..

i dont see who going to guard calvin johnson or whos gonna block the rest of the lions d-line after Suh eats a double team, and i believe nick fairly may make his season debut..

can the bills and lions really start 4-0??

What would your line for PIT@HOU be? I think the line above is a pretty reasonable assessment based on what we've seen this year. However, I won't be surprised in the least if Houston blows it.

None of these scream "big day, lots of points!" to me, but any of them could do well. Tony Gonzalez is also available (free agent) with some lineup finagling, but I don't think he's good enough to bump down all the guys listed above.

Dem- teasing is buying points (i.e. making a 3 pt underdog a 6 pt underdog) which is why the returns are much lower.

Dallas is getting steamed hard. Dallas was a 1 point favorite, line is 2.5 or 3 now.

I'll be on Cincy +3, Rams +3 for early games.
